This platform is currently configured such that the frontend (website) communicates directly with the Bible API endpoint, as well as the database. This was done on purpose because my initial task was to test the API endpoints. However, the overheads from the current configuration alone are so immense that it as evidently slowing down the app. I am currently rebuilding the platform by adding extra servers/services in between the website and the database as well as in between the website and the API endpoints. In the meantime, you will not see any changes to the website while I work on these backend changes. I will end this post with a quote...
Philippians 3:13-14: Brothers, I do not consider that I have made it my own. But one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.
A buggy situation with Bible references🪲
January 8, 2025
I have uploaded more topics and verses into the database, as previously announced. However, there is a bug that affects scripture references composed of more than one verse, for example, "Revelation 13:1-10" appears as "Revelation 13:1-REV". Once this bug is resolved, we will bump up to Release v1.0.1-alpha... Hold on tight!

I'm happy to announce Bible Flo's first big milestone. This is the first breaking change (or non-reversible change) with this release. For the next several days, you will notice the number of topics and verses gradually grow as I populate the database. We're not yet in public release, so... Hang tight!
